Brief Description: Left wing HID leanding light bracket
I decided to work on a bracket for the capacitor for teh HID landing lights that I have. I started off using some .025 aluminum, measured the needed dimensions and transfered them to the aluminum.
Used the small brake I bought from Princess auto and fabricated two pieces so that it would completely contain the capacitor. Once fabricated, I deburred, primed and then flush riveted it.
Drilled two holes for nutplates in the outboard leading edge rib through the completed bracket. I then added two nutplates for a #8 screw and secured the capacitor in place and tested it.
Works great and it's nice and solid.
Nutplates drilled and riveted in place for the bracket
#8 flush screws holding the bracket and capacitor in place.
